Deers don’t always trust humans but when people save their lives, they know they can feel safe like when a teen saved a deer from a raging river. When a man named Darius Sasnauskas noticed a deer had trouble following her family, he knew he had to do something to save her as in her state.
Because Sasnauskas lives near Yellowstone National Park, he sees a lot of wildlife and knows that she would have been easy prey for predators. He documented this baby deer rescue and watching it will be the best 16 minutes of your day.
One of the baby fawns looked like she had a broken leg and she couldn’t keep up with her little brother and her mom.
Because the sun was setting, her mother had no choice to leave her and she was on her own.
Darius Sasnauskas spotted the wounded fawn and knew she would be easy prey for predators if he didn’t save her.
Sasnauskas went out to get her and brought her to his home. He was relieved to find out her leg wasn’t broken but she was in pain.
He made her a leg brace from an oatmeal cereal box.
She was hungry and she was fed every 4 hours.
She also made new friends while she recovered.
Darius’ dog Mack made sure that she was protected at all times.
After her recovery, he brought her back to try to reunite her with her mother. But she wasn’t ready to leave just yet 🙂
They didn’t have luck the first night but Sasnauskas went out every evening until she was finally reunited with her mother.
Watch the entire recovery of this beautiful deer and it will be the best 16 minutes of your day!
It is incredibly heartwarming to see regular people going out of their way to save an animal in need. Please share this wonderful baby deer rescue and releasing a deer back to her mother with your friends and family.
