A Drug Addict Robbed a Store but Decided to Do the Right Thing – a Decade Later.

A drug addict robbed a convenience store about 12 years ago and stole beer, cigarettes, and $300 dollars. Last year, he decided to make amends with the store owner and returned the stolen money. Here is the letter he wrote:

A Drug Addict Robbed a Store but Decided to Do the Right Thing - a Decade Later

The note reads, “I am a drug addict. About 11 or 12 years ago I robbed this store with a gun. I do not use drugs anymore and I feel I must make amends to the people I have hurt in the past. I came in your store around 9 or 10 o’clock in 2002 or 2003 and I got a 6-pack of beer and ask for cigarettes. When the register opened to give change, I pulled out a gun and took about $300.00 from the register then drove away in a white car. I hope you will accept this money and find forgiveness. Peace be with you – Anonymous.”

In response to the touching note, the store owner left this message:

We were robbed about 11 or 12 years. Today, we surprisingly received this note from the robber and the stolen cash returned. This is truly inspirational and reminds us that there are plenty of good people in this world. To the anonymous person, we want to tell you all is forgiven and thank for your note. We don’t care about the money. We are more inspired and touched by your act. We hope you find peace in life and prosperity. Best wishes!
