If you’re a parent, you already that parenting is a tough job. Teaching your kids what is right and what is wrong and other life lessons go a long way. Especially today, kids deal with bullying and other social pressures that many of us didn’t experience as kids. Looking back at my own childhood, those special moments where my parents took the time to explain how to be a better person is what I remember and cherish most.
Randy Gaines loves his girls very much; however, when he teased his daughter when she was having a bad day, he didn’t push further. Instead of becoming frustrated he gave her advice she’ll have for a lifetime. “You don’t always have to be happy, you don’t always have to be silly or funny, you don’t have to be anything,” he tells her. “The important thing is, whenever you’re feeling that way to not just stay there all the time. You want to accept it, you want to honor it, you want to acknowledge it, and let it go.”

Randy’s wife also loves the way he treats his family and writes, “I fell in love with him before we had our girls, but moments like this make me fall even more in love with him. We connect on this level, and my heart explodes when he connects with his girls like this. No yelling. No screaming. Talking. Discussing emotions and why we have such feelings.”
