When it comes to children having a friend for life, dogs are probably the first thing that comes to mind. Dogs are loyal and instinctively protect the people they love from strangers trying to harm them or their humans.
A 10-year-old girl from Prince William County, Virginia, was out walking her dog in her neighborhood. It was a Friday afternoon around 3:50 pm and out of nowhere, a man grabbed the young girl’s arm. Within seconds, the girl’s dog bit the man which led him to release the girl’s arm and he ran away. Thankfully, the young girl was not injured because of the quick actions of her dog.
While the man is still unidentified, police have reported that that the perpetrator has been described as a Hispanic male between 5’3″ and 5’6″ in his late teens or early 20s and weighing about 145 pounds with short, dark hair and sporting a goatee.
If you or anyone has any information about this incident, please contact the Prince William County Police Department at (703) 792-6500. Thanks to her brave dog, this incident has a happy ending in that the little girl never got abducted or harmed.
