An 11-year-old boy visited Normandy, France during the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion to honor past and present soldiers. He wore a WWII-style uniform during the official D-Day celebration but local police didn’t let the young boy enter the cemetery for fallen American soldiers.
Undeterred, he walked to Omaha beach and planted his American flag into the sand and stared out into the ocean while saluting past soldiers. People started to gather to view a boy holding an American flag but even when he stood alone, he held his salute except for wiping the tears from his eyes.
He held his salute for over an hour and a half and even when the tide came closer, he still stood his ground. Please share the heartwarming way this boy honored fallen soldiers with your friends and family.
