Aretha Franklin Sings Tribute to Carole King at Kennedy Center Honors.

The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual event to recognize artists for their amazing contributions to the arts. In 2015, Carole King, George Lucas, Rita Moreno, Seiji Ozawa, and Cicely Tyson were honored. Their works have all had an impact on our lives through their songs, movies, and other works.

Carole King was especially moved when Aretha Franklin sang ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’ which was a huge hit for Franklin and the song was co-written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. The song was released as a single in 1967 and with her powerful and soulful voice, it helped propel Aretha Franklin to success and earning the title of The Queen of Soul.
